Over the last year or so we have been collecting leftover currency from our clients when they come back from their trips. These small amounts have slowly added up over the year and a few weeks ago we took a very heavy bag of currency up to London and gave a vast assortment of notes and coins to Amanda from Friends of Conservation. Over the next week or so volunteers counted the currency and sent it to Travelex who converted it into sterling. The final count is in and approximately £400 was raised which will go to support one of the many projects that Friends of Conservation are undertaking in Africa and around the globe.

India is famous for its fort cities. Jodphur and Jaisalmer are both well known. There are countless smaller forts around North India which you can stay in and experience the world of a bygone era.
We have just launched a special website feature including an interactive map showing the location of some of our specialist’s favourite Indian Forts.
Visit our guide to Indian Fort accommodation to find out more.

Now it’s really easy to find whatever you want on the site. We love it!

The wrecked school and the floodwaters
Following our initial fundraising efforts for the victims of cyclone Nargis, it has always been our intention to source a project that Audley could directly support that would provide long-term gain for a community.
Whilst it has proved considerably more difficult than we had initially thought to find a suitable project (our first attempt unfortunately fell through to another donor), we are now moving ahead at a pace with the rebuilding of a primary school at Paya Ngoto (North) Village.

Grootbos is a private nature reserve we send people to near Hermanus. It’s an area better known for whales but the flora is just as interesting - Grootbos actually supply the Eden Dome with a number of their exhibits. They’re involved in a wide range of responsible travel initiatives, both environmental and social, including planting trees. More »
