Discovering Lawrence’s Arabia at the Ashmolean

To mark the 75th anniversary of Lawrence of Arabia’s death (d. 19 May 1935), Andrew Hunt, our North Asia & Arabia Programme Manager, will give a modern-day tour through some of the sites associated with Lawrence and explore whether the traditional Arabian culture of Lawrence’s time can still be experienced.

Andrew lived in various countries in the Middle East for 10 years and has travelled extensively throughout Arabia. His academic studies have also focused on this part of the world.

This event will take place on Thursday 19th May 2010 from 2-3pm in gallery 61 and is free to attend.
