May beer festival for Barnardo’s
Last Friday night the Audley offices at the New Mill became the setting for a mini beer festival to raise money for charity.
Luckily it was a nice sunny evening for the event, if a little chilly, but when the sun went down a bonfire was lit to keep everyone warm. And with lots of different local beers to try from Wychwood’s Brewery, a skittle alley and a bumpy castle and barbecue to keep everyone entertained, the evening was a great success.
Over £300 was raised for the children’s charity Barnardo’s, with staff dressing down during the day to raise even more money. £240 pays for a year’s worth of support sessions for young people who’s parents misuse drugs or alcohol through the charity.
