As part of Audley’s charity portfolio, the Australasia team has decided this year to support Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Based near Hobart in Tasmania they are an independent organisation who rely heavily on volunteers and do some wonderful work to protect many native Australian animals.

Audley in particular is supporting the construction of a Tasmanian Devil breeding facility, which will be set up with cameras and Wi-Fi. This will enable the team at Bonorong to monitor their behaviour, births and the growth of baby Devils without disturbing them, which will really help in the long-term conservation of the species. Once this is up and running we will hopefully get to see some photos and possibly even footage from the den, so watch this space!

In the meantime we have been sent a couple of pictures – featured in this blog - from the Sanctuary showing that, contrary to their somewhat feisty image, the Tasmanian Devil can actually be a bit of a softie!!
